New Building Update: June 16, 2026

- Construction Progress and Updates
- Engraved bricks installed. Pilar caps will be picked up this week.
- Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing plans still waiting approval from Township. Southeast Commercial has contacted an engineering resource to complete needed drawings.
- Well has been installed. Need to complete cleaning a testing process for full well approval.
- Construction of dumpster enclosure complete.
- Final site grading will begin.
- Parking lot lines and parking bumpers installed.
- Requirements for egress in the basement have been provided. 3 window wells will be installed. See image below for installation areas under review. Final location will be determined but 50ft access requirement.

New Building Update: February 18, 2026
Construction Progress and Updates
General Note: Extreme cold weather has been delaying progress on some construction tasks.
- DTE has completed electrical connection to overhead lines. Building is now powered
with electricity. - Contractor still planning to complete installation of remaining exterior doors
Options for usage compliance in basement are being reviewed. Southeast Commercial is
currently reviewing options for egress in the basement (windows or stairwell).
Committee Tasks
- TLN has been contacted to coordinate building electrical and data wiring.
- Contacted TLN to schedule site visit.
- Need to provide inner wall bracing height to contractor for shelve installation bracing.
- Shelving supplier (Demco) has been contacted and confirmed no extra bracing in
the walls is needed. Properly installed shelving only requires a tether to wall.
Shelving is fully self-supporting and will not tip over without influence.

Construction Progress and Updates
- Electrical service is wired in basement but no power from overhead lines yet. DTE is scheduled to connect the lines the week of January 19th. (correction from last update)
- Window installation is complete.
- Main door installation is complete.
- Planned to complete side and rear doors next week (week of January 19th).
Committee Tasks
- TLN has been contacted to coordinate building electrical and data wiring. Follow-ups will continue to coordinate additional conduit and raceways needed for library operations.
- Need to provide inner wall bracing height to contractor for shelve installation bracing.
- Coordinate transportation of reclaimed doors once building is fully sealed in with masonry and windows.

New Building Update: October 23, 2025
Construction Progress
- Septic is installed and inspections have been completed with approval.
- Engraved bricks for building have arrived. Non-engraved bricks are due to arrive next week (around 10/28/2025).
- Roofing is complete.
- Underground culverts installed and inspections have been completed with approval.
- Overflow structure for retention pond has been installed (Riser, Base and flow piping). Inspections completed and approved.
- Underground conduit for electrical and communication wires from over head lines have been installed (parking lot lights, potential future sign, main line into building and extra conduit for communication lines)
- Building exterior trim complete. Shop drawings for windows have been reviewed by contractor and approved. Windows ordered and due to be installed mid-November.
- Material for interior walls has been delivered on site.
- Currently planning the installation of gas line.
- After gas line installation, drive approach and first stage of parking lot paving will begin.
